A hand-carved Victorian torchiere floor lamp with a fluted, acanthus-detailed column and an open uplight bowl that washes light up the wall and ceiling. The cast gypsum-resin body stands 60.2″ tall on a weighted 12.6″ base, finished by hand in ivory white, walnut, or ebony. Built as ambient corner, living-room, or reading-nook lighting, it’s made to order — choose your finish below.
Hand-carved classical column
Fluted column with acanthus and floral relief, hand-carved and hand-sanded in cast gypsum-resin.
Glare-free uplight glow
An open bowl aims one E26/E27 bulb (max 12W) up at the ceiling for soft, indirect ambient light.

- Plug-in floor lamp — no hardwiring. A 6.6 ft (2 m) cord with an inline switch runs to a standard outlet; the column sections thread together by hand.
- Bulb not included. Use one E26/E27 LED rated 12W or less; 2700K warm white gives the softest uplight.
- Place near a wall or in a corner so the bowl can wash light up the surface; leave roughly 12″ of clearance above the bowl for the best spread.
- Set the weighted base on a level floor and route the cord clear of walkways.
- Hand-carved and hand-finished — minor surface marks and slight tone variation are normal and confirm the piece is handmade, not defects.
- Dust with a dry, soft cloth; avoid water and solvents on the finish.
How bright is the uplight — can it light a whole room?
It runs one E26/E27 bulb (max 12W) and aims the light up off the ceiling, so it gives soft, glare-free ambient light rather than task brightness. Pair it with overhead or a reading lamp where you need more output.
How tall is it, and where does it fit best?
It stands 60.2″ (153 cm) on a 12.6″ weighted base — more compact than typical 70″-plus torchieres. It suits a living-room corner, a spot behind a sofa, beside a reading chair, or an entryway.
Which finish should I choose, and can I customize it?
Ivory White reads brightest and most neoclassical; Walnut is a warm, versatile mid-brown; Ebony is a dramatic near-black. Custom finishes are made to order — email us for options and lead time.
Does it need assembly or an electrician?
No electrician needed. The column sections thread together and the lamp plugs into a standard outlet via its inline switch — setup takes a few minutes by hand.
What is it made of, and what’s the warranty?
