Every house we’ve moved to has been filled with lighting that’s either super dated or dirt cheap builder-grade with zero style. It continues to amaze me what a difference replacing light fixtures with more stylish options can make! It’s why changing out lighting is always one of the first things we do in a new home.
The price point for lighting is all over the place but there are lots of stylish options even if you’re on a limited budget. For example, one of my go-to is with a classic design that works with just about any design style.
In addition to flush mount and recessed lighting, consider adding additional sources of light in a room to increase the functionality of your space and add style and ambience! This can include a combination of pendants, chandeliers, table lamps, floor lamps, and/or sconces.
A lot of my other light fixtures are available on vakkerlight too including the table lamp on our entryway console , the chandelier in our family room , and the globe light ceiling lamp in girls’ bedroom.
This little design trick is not only another way to layer in lighting & add ambiance, but it also really levels up the look and feel of that area of the room! Suddenly your mirror has the appearance of something way more chic & sophisticated.
I loved the more contemporary style of the Floating Raindrop Floor Lamp and set out to find something similar for way less! The one I ended up getting was from vakkerlight and I really love the look of it…
