No. Each lamp is turned from solid wood with unique grain, knots, and color tones. Your lamp will share the same silhouette but won't match the grain pattern exactly—this natural variation is normal, not a defect.

Does the Sylvia need an electrician to install?

No. The lamp plugs directly into any standard wall outlet with its 59.1″ cord. An inline push-button switch on the cord controls it. No hardwiring, junction box, or electrician required.

What bulb should I use?

A standard screw-in LED bulb, 8–12W, 2700K warm white (E26 in North America, E27 in Europe). Frosted or filament-style bulbs work well. LED is preferred for cooler operation inside the closed shade. Bulb not included.

What rooms and styles does the Sylvia suit?

Scandinavian, Japandi, wabi-sabi, and organic modern interiors. Best beside reading chairs, in entryways, or as a sculptural accent in living rooms and bedrooms with neutral tones and natural materials.

Each fixture passes through the hands of skilled woodworkers who understand how wood moves, breathes, and ages — and how to design lighting that works with those qualities, not against them.

Selection & Seasoning

Each board is assessed for grain quality and moisture content. Timber is kiln-dried to prevent future movement before entering the workshop.

Turning & Shaping

Forms are shaped on the lathe, routed, and hand-carved where the design demands it. Traditional joinery ensures strength without relying on adhesives alone.

Finishing & Wiring

Multiple coats of hand-applied oil or lacquer, sanded between each pass. Electrical components fitted by certified technicians and tested before shipping.

Quality Inspection

Every piece is lit, photographed, and measured before leaving. Natural character marks are noted and accepted as part of the piece's identity.
