This light is a statement piece. The glass pieces are very substantial and the gold detail is not brassy. While our dining room has recessed lighting, this light alone illuminates the space and could be used alone.

A bit tricky to assemble. Doesn't come with instructions and has a lot of parts that are disassembled for shipping. Also, it doesn't come with a center bracket to hang it from a hollow electrical box that has nothing in the middle.

The quality is exceptional for the price! The anodized brass finish is good quality. The parts that need to be sturdy are pure, thick brass that is finished to look the same as the rest of the parts. The glass is cheap (it's not a Murrano), but looks good enough and is light weight.

In general, I'm very pleased with the design and quality of Vakkerlights.
