What is the Bailey made from?

The shade is beige fabric. The base is walnut wood. The light source is an integrated LED.

The Bailey has a push-button switch for on and off. Dimming is available as a build-to-order option—contact support@vakkerlight.com to discuss.

Where is the switch and how long is the cord?

The switch is a push button on the cord itself. The cord is 59.1 inches long and terminates in a plug ready for any standard outlet.

Which size should I choose?

The Bailey comes in two heights: 47.2 inches or 63 inches. Both have a 6.3-inch diameter shade. Measure your ceiling and the wall space where you plan to place it.

Does this lamp work in the US?

Yes. It runs on standard US household power (110–240V AC), ships with a US plug, and qualifies for free shipping to all 50 states.

The Fabric Collection

Soft Light,
Woven by Hand

Handcrafted fabric — shaped into luminaries that soften every room they enter.

Shop the Collection

Our Philosophy

A collection built around
the way fabric holds light.

Fabric does something no other material can: it softens. A hand-pleated fold, a woven texture, a trimmed hem — each one turns raw light into atmosphere, glowing gently from within instead of casting harsh edges.

At Vakkerlight, our fabric fixtures are cut, pleated, and finished by hand. We pair breathable textiles with warm wood, polished brass, and restrained metal — so the light feels honest, and the room feels alive.

Material & Craft

Fabric, crafted by hand.

Breathable woven fabric, cut and finished by hand — pleated, ribbed, and trimmed by artisans with decades of practice.

— 01

Hand-Pleated Fabric

Softly pleated fabric, folded and set by hand. Hours of careful work give each shade its even rhythm and warm, glowing surface — something no machine can imitate.

— 02

Ribbed & Scalloped

Woven fabric with fine vertical ribbing, finished with a hand-stitched scalloped hem. Breathable, softly structured, and built to age well.

— 03

Patterned Fabric & Fringe

Woven fabric panels with leaf motifs, edged with hand-knotted brass chain tassels. A heritage textile craft, refined for contemporary interiors.
