How many lightbulbs does this fixture use?

One head takes one G9 bulb, so the count matches the variant: 4 cubes take four bulbs, 5 take five, and so on up to nine. Bulbs are ordered separately, so you pick the wattage and colour temperature yourself.

What size room or table does this work best for?

V1 and V2 suit small tables or narrow halls. V3 works for a 4–6 person dining table. V4 and V5 are for large dining rooms or substantial kitchen islands. All variants drop only 17.7 inches maximum, so they fit standard-height ceilings, not tall foyers.

Is this fixture hardwired or does it plug in?

These are hardwired fixtures designed for ceiling installation. You'll need an electrician to connect it to your home's wiring and secure the canopy to a ceiling box. Plug-in pendant kits are not available for this model.

Can I arrange the cubes differently or is the layout fixed?

Yes — we build custom versions of this every week. Light count, cable lengths, canopy size and drop length are all made to order. Email info@vakkerlighting.com with your ceiling height and a photo of the space, and we come back with a drop plan before anything is built.

What size chandelier for a 2-story foyer?

The 8-light or 9-light versions are best. The 8-light measures 36.6″ × 36.6″ and drops 45 inches. The 9-light spreads 41.3″ × 41.3″ with the same 45-inch hang. Both give scale to tall walls and stairwells.

Is the alabaster shade fragile?

Each shade is frosted alabaster glass, not plastic. It’s durable but can break if struck hard. The shade sits inside a steel bracket that protects it from bumps and dust.

Can I dim this fixture?

Yes, with dimmable bulbs. This fixture takes G9 bulbs, which you order separately, so dimming depends on the bulbs you fit — pair dimmable G9 bulbs with a dimmer switch rated for that load.

Alabaster is a soft, fine-grained mineral. Cut thin and polished, it turns light into an even, candle-warm glow — no glare, no hard edges.

This light is well made and a bit heavy. Make sure your electrical ceiling box can support the weight of the thick alabaster inserts.

We absolutely LOVE this chandelier! In the black finish it is the perfect combination of elegant and minimalist with a nod to Craftsman style. It was easy to install and put together, and is the perfect profile for my rather narrow dining room.
