Natural Alabaster Geological Character
Each globe is carved by hand from genuine natural alabaster. Natural veining, cloudy banding, and delicate tone gradations differ organically from piece to piece, and illumination may appear subtly denser where natural mineral strata coalesce. - Alabaster is naturally porous — avoid direct water exposure, spray, or harsh chemical cleaning agents. Wipe gently with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth.
Is the globe genuine stone or frosted glass?
The shade is hand-carved from genuine natural alabaster—an authentic, translucent mineral stone, not imitation glass. It casts a rich, diffuse warm glow and exhibits unique natural veining and cloudy banding. Because it is formed geologically, each globe possesses individual organic character.
Which finish should I choose for my space?
All three options share the identical white alabaster globe. Brushed Nickel delivers a soft, understated silver tone ideal for modern bathrooms and coastal spaces; Matte Black introduces crisp graphic architectural contrast; while Warm Brass infuses classic transitional warmth into bedrooms, entryways, and salon lounges.
What bulb does it use, is it included, and can it be dimmed?
The sconce houses one standard G9 socket, and a warm-white (2700K) G9 LED bulb is included with your order. It is fully dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 replacement bulb and a compatible wall dimmer switch.
Can this fixture be mounted as a symmetrical pair?
Yes. The sconce is oriented globe-up with the vertical stem suspended beneath. It functions beautifully as a standalone accent or installed in symmetrical pairs flanking bathroom vanity mirrors, headboards, corridor consoles, or interior doorways.
Can I install this in a bathroom, and how should it be cleaned?
The sconce is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations. It is suitable for powder rooms and vanity zones away from direct shower spray or prolonged standing moisture, as natural alabaster is porous. For routine cleaning, gently dust with a dry, clean microfiber cloth.
