The Marbled Shell Wall Sconce is a sculptural wall light — a marbled teardrop shell paired with a polished brass ring and a central brass orb that catches and bounces light off the marbled surface. Available as Left-hand, Right-hand, or Set of 2 (mirror pair). Black or White marbled finish. Integrated LED in 3 color temperatures. For entryways, hallways, bedrooms, bathroom vanity walls, dining rooms, hotel rooms, restaurants, art galleries, and contemporary, organic-modernist, or Art Deco interiors.

The marbled pattern on the Marbled Shell Wall Sconce is rendered in molded resin — keeping weight low (safe for any wall surface) and price accessible. It is not natural quarried marble. The marble veining is part of the molded surface, so each piece has its own pattern variation, just like natural stone, but the body is durable lightweight resin that resists chipping and won't crack under normal wall vibration.

The Marbled Shell Wall Sconce is rated for indoor dry locations — bedrooms, hallways, foyers, living rooms, bathroom vanity walls (away from direct shower spray and standing water), dining rooms. Do not install inside a shower enclosure, directly above a tub, on a covered porch, or any outdoor area. The marbled resin is durable but the integrated LED and brass details are not rated for wet locations.
Mounting height for bedrooms and vanities
For a bed-flanking sconce, mount the center of the Marbled Shell Wall Sconce 60-65 inches above the floor (or 4-6 inches above the nightstand surface). For bathroom vanity flanking, mount sconces 60-66 inches above the floor, spaced 36-40 inches apart on either side of the mirror. For entryway accent, 65-70 inches above the floor centered on the focal point.
Each resin marbled pattern is unique
Although the Marbled Shell Wall Sconce body is molded resin, the marbling pigment is hand-applied and varies subtly from piece to piece — so a Set of 2 will be visually matched but not identical. This mimics the natural variation in real marble. If you need an exactly identical pair, order the Set of 2 (where pairs are color-matched at the factory).

Is the Marbled Shell Wall Sconce made from real marble?
No — the shell is molded resin with a hand-applied marble pattern, not natural quarried stone. This keeps the sconce lightweight (any standard wall junction box can hold it), accessibly priced, and resistant to chipping. The marble veining is part of the surface treatment, so each piece has its own unique pattern variation just like real stone. The brass ring and central orb are solid polished brass.
Should I order Left, Right, or Set of 2?
Single L or R: for asymmetric installations — a single accent over an entryway, beside an artwork, in a hallway, or as a standalone vanity light. The brass ring opens either left or right; pick the direction that complements your space. Set of 2: for symmetric flanking — one on each side of a bed, mirror, fireplace, or doorway. Set pairs are color-matched at the factory so the marble patterns coordinate visually.
How high should I mount the Marbled Shell Wall Sconce?
Bedroom (bed flanking): center 60-65 inches above the floor, or 4-6 inches above the nightstand surface. Bathroom vanity: center 60-66 inches above the floor, spaced 36-40 inches apart on either side of the mirror. Entryway / hallway: 65-70 inches above the floor centered on the focal point. Will my Marbled Shell Wall Sconce pattern look exactly like the photo?
The overall silhouette and brass details will match exactly, but the marbled pattern varies piece to piece — the pigment is hand-applied to each shell, so veining direction, intensity, and contrast differ subtly. This mimics the variation in real quarried marble and is part of the sculptural appeal. If you need an exactly matched pair (for symmetric flanking), order the Set of 2 — those pairs are color-matched at the factory before shipping.
Can I install the Marbled Shell Wall Sconce inside a shower or on a covered porch?
No. The Marbled Shell Wall Sconce is rated for indoor dry locations only. It is safe on a bathroom vanity wall away from direct shower spray and standing water, but should not be installed inside a shower enclosure, directly above a tub, on a covered porch, screened patio, or any outdoor area. The integrated LED and brass hardware are not rated for damp or wet locations. For wet bathroom or outdoor areas, choose a wet- or damp-location sconce.
