Crafted with traditional Japanese washi paper and bamboo wire, this lamp embodies a seamless blend of artisanal craftsmanship and modernist design. Handcrafted in Gifu, Japan, for over five decades, it represents a timeless symbol of 20th-century modern design, bringing both elegance and cultural heritage into any space.
Purchase instructions: This product undergoes a meticulous hand-bonding process using paper and glue. As a result, you may notice minor traces of glue along the edge of the lampshade. Please be aware that this occurrence is considered normal and does not constitute a quality issue.
Note*: To ensure correct installation, please follow these connection guidelines:
- Connect the black wire to hole number 2.
- Attach the white wire to hole number 3.

What are the exact dimensions of this table lamp?+
The Washi Paper 4N measures ∅ 8.6″ diameter and 22.4″ tall. The power cord is 59″ long, giving you flexibility in lamp placement relative to outlets.
Can I choose a different bulb type?+
Yes. The lamp accepts either LED or Edison bulbs with E26/E27 base. Both are readily available and replaceable, so you can switch types to suit your lighting needs.
How do I clean the washi paper shade?+
The handmade rice-paper shade is delicate. Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth. Minor glue traces along shade edges are normal from the hand-bonding process and do not affect quality.
What plug options are available?+
Choose from US, UK, AU, or EU plugs at order. The lamp operates on AC 110–240V, so it works internationally once you select the correct regional plug.
