The Gingko Rotating Ceiling Lamp is a flush-mount ceiling lamp with rotating brass branches and white porcelain ginkgo leaves clustered around a central canopy. Five configurations across four models — 11.8″ to 15.7″ deep, Ø 23.6″ to 39.4″ across — suit bedrooms, hallways, walk-in closets, small dining rooms, and living rooms with 8 to 10 ft ceilings.

Read before unboxing — small glue marks on the leaves are normal

A small amount of glue is applied where each porcelain leaf meets the metal, keeping the brass fittings secure through shipping and long-term use. Slight residue on some leaves is a normal part of production — it does not affect appearance or function and is not a defect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there glue residue on some leaves?

A small amount of glue bonds each porcelain leaf to the metal, so it stays secure through shipping and long-term use. Slight residue is normal, does not affect function, and is not a defect.

Will it fit a low ceiling?

Yes — it mounts flush, with no rod. Model C and both Model D sizes are only 11.8″ / 30cm deep, so they suit ceilings from 8 ft while keeping about 7 ft of headroom. Models A and B are deeper (15.7″ and 13.8″) and suit ceilings of 8.5 ft and up.

Which model should I pick?

For a hallway or walk-in closet, Model C. For a standard bedroom, Model B or D · 80cm. For a larger bedroom, living room, or low foyer, Model D · 100cm. As a guide, choose a diameter about one-third of the room's shortest side.

Do the branches really rotate?

Yes — each brass branch pivots by hand, so you can fan the leaves out or draw them closer to the canopy after installation. It is hand-adjustable, not motorized.

What bulbs does it use, and is it dimmable?

E12 for the US and Canada, or G9 for Europe and Australia — 6 bulbs (Models A, B, C), 8 (D · 80cm), or 10 (D · 100cm). Warm white 2700–3000K is recommended, and it dims with dimmable bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer.

From Clay to Chandelier The Ceramic Leaf:
Four Stages of Craft

Each ginkgo leaf passes through four skilled hands before it joins the chandelier. No leaf is identical. Every surface carries the trace of the artisan who made it.

Step 1: Sculpting and carving the ceramic ginkgo leaf form

Sculpting & Carving

Each leaf begins as raw clay. Master sculptors shape the distinctive bilobed ginkgo form by hand, carving the characteristic veins and curvature that give each leaf its living quality.

Mold Making

Precision plaster molds are cast from the master sculpt. Each mold preserves the exact weight, thickness, and surface detail of the original — ensuring every leaf in a commission matches perfectly.

Kiln Firing

Formed leaves are carefully dried then fired in a high-temperature kiln. The ceramic body becomes hard, dense, and uniquely translucent — allowing the warm glow of the light source to soften through each leaf.

Grinding & Polishing

Each fired leaf is ground and hand-polished to a smooth, silk-matte finish. The edges are refined, the surface inspected, and any imperfection addressed — before the leaf is approved and assembled onto the brass armature.

I surprised my wife with it and she surprised me by saying , "That's great! I really like it." You have to know that my wife is very picky when it comes to fixtures, furnishings, and accents, so if it met with my wife's approval it must be very good.
