Handwoven from natural rattan using traditional Javanese-inspired braiding, each shade of the Braided Rattan Pendant Lamp carries subtle variations that reflect its handmade character. Choose from four shapes in several sizes, or one of four pre-designed clusters — use it alone or arrange several into a sculptural lighting installation.
Natural rattan — every shade is unique
Each shade is handwoven from natural rattan, so color, weave density, texture, and pattern vary slightly and may differ from the photos.
The natural rattan and wood-toned parts gradually deepen to a warmer tone with exposure to air and light — a normal characteristic that doesn't affect performance.
Visible internal support frame
An internal metal frame keeps the woven shape and securely supports the lamp holder. Viewed from below, parts of it may show through the open weave — this is part of the design, not a defect. Please review the detail photos if the view from underneath matters for your space.

Which size suits a kitchen island?
Model A Medium (Ø 23.6″ x H 15″) suits most islands; Model B (Ø 19.7″) works for narrower counters. Hang it 30–36″ above the countertop.
Can I mix models and finishes in one cluster?
Yes — the four pre-designed combos pair different models and finishes on one canopy. For a custom cluster, email info@vakkerlighting.com.
How long is the cable?
78.7″ / 200cm, adjustable at installation and longer on request.
What bulb does it use?
One E26 or E27 bulb per shade. A warm white 2700K LED bulb shows off the dappled shadow pattern of the weave.
Why can I see a frame inside the shade?

The wood looks lighter than the photos — is that normal?
